can i apply for a student visa in the philippines from USA?
can i apply in the Philippines instead of applying it here in the US philippine consulate because im still lacking the acceptance letter from the school that im going to go to since i didn't take the entrance exam yet and im planning on going to nxt month to go to philippines and take my exam there and file the visa there instead of going back and forth in US and PH since that costs a lot of money

It is necessary that you apply for and secure your student visa at the nearest Philippine embassy/consulate here in the US. You should not bypass this policy and apply directly to Dept. of Education (DepEd) in Manila, since the Phil. diplomatic posts here in the US have been authorized by DepEd to scrutinize American documents then authenticate it. The intended school's acceptance letter of your application as a student in their educational institution is the very first step in this lengthy process.
