Can I use my student loan money to pay for my apartment rent while I'm studying in the Philippines?
I'm going to be studying abroad in the Philippines and the university I'm going to doesn't have any dorms. I was wandering if I'm allowed to use some of my student loan money to rent an apartment? I currently reside in the U.S.A.

Usually no, that money is to cover tuition only. In the UK they have maintenance loans to help you pay for rent and food, they may have something like that in the Philippines, you will have to talk to the Financial Aid office.
