you can drive alone even with a driving permit... but be sure your student driving permit goes with a huge amount of money so incase a police caught you without a license just hand over the money and your free to go...

No, the first and foremost requirement should have a professional driver with him, must be a licensed also. implementation is not strict but sometimes traffiic police inspect the drivers surprisingly in a certain area, and that will cause violation of the traffic commisiion. Better to drive with professional to avoid penalties and accident. Or there are so many ways to have a professional one. lots of ppl think they can drive by themselves with a student permit.. my friend just gut busted for it. and he was surprised and argued with the traffic police. if u have a student permit u can drive only if u are accompanied by a licensed driver.
