How do I apply for an externship (culinary student from the Philippines) in the U.S.?
I am sooo dying to study and have a work experience outside of my country. Are there companies that sponsor people like me?

You can always join the American military and go to thier school. The best Chef in the world is a Army Sargeant by the way .

I happen to meet a culinary student from the Philippines on my way back to Chicago, in 1999. She said that she was being sponsored by a hotel in FL. She first went to her mom in Chicago, then went to FL then after the time limitations, she stayed. In short, write a letter to certain hotels here in the U.S. where you can have your externship. If you are lucky, of course, you'll shoulder the expenses, unless you are being sponsored or the hotel becomes interested in you. If you have a lot of money, try taking a culinary arts as a foreign student. If you're here, everything will be as 1-2-3.
