What is there for a college student to do in the philippines?
I'm going to a family reunion in the Philippines, Tacloban and Manila to be exact. I'll be there for three weeks, My cousin says she has a few things planned but i just wanna b sure not to miss out on anything.. i havent been there since i was 5 and im not sure when i'll be back. I'm a college student so obviously if there are any nightlife activities to check out that would be great too :)

Manila definitely has a lot of nightspots. Checkout West Ave in Quezon City, Pasig by Tektite, Makati ave in Makati, Roxas Boulevard in Pasay, and Mabini in Ermita (longtime red light district). If you're from the US or another country with higher standard of living, you'd appreciate the concerts of extremely talented and world-class pinoy music artists for a very reasonable price.

youre not KUWAGO that you want night life, you have that kind of life in the US, why dont you explore the beauty of nature in your place and explore at daytime!!! LOL.

Both nightlife and beaches are good options in the Philippines. You'll find the comedy bars to be unique venues, but be prepared for the greenest and most obscene brands of humor (my favorites!). Also, nothing beats, nightlife at the beach! If you are going to Tacloban, why not drag your family to Boracay which is not too far away.

In Manila, you can party at Encore and Ascend, and right beside Ascend is Serendra which has a lot of stateside shops, restaraunts and bars to chill at. They have the same set up at Greenbelt. Eastwood is bomb place to be also. It's in Q.C though, but it isn't that far from Manila. They have a lot of amazing restaraunts great for dinner with family and friends. They also have a few clubs there too but the club to be at over there in Eastwood is Manor. There are other clubs too, i guess you can ask your cousins about those. Going on trips like to Puerto Galera is worth it; beaches that don't cost much, unlike going to Boracay, but it is a great place to be at. Keep in mind that it is rainy season though.
