It's not easy, because so many Koreans want to study in an English-speaking country or Europe, but they don't consider the Philippines to fall in either category (even though English is widely spoken there). Many Koreans equate whiteness with an ability to speak English like a native. English teachers of color in Korea have reported being discriminated against. If you have any kids, you could try looking for a Korean au pair. You can also register to host on http://www.homestayweb.com. Pax International might have some possibilities, too. You could also check with your local university housing office, if they have one, and list yourself with them for any Korean students who attend.

Can a nursing degree in the Philippines be accepted in the United States?
Can a nursing degree in the Philippines be accepted in the United States?
My cousin is a nursing student in the Philippines. After she graduates and comes to the U.S. will she need to go through a nursing program here all over again to become an RN or will she be able to take one of those exams and become an RN?

Is there any call center jobs available to 1st year college students in the philippines?
Is there any call center jobs available to 1st year college students in the philippines?
If so, please post details. I need a job and I am planning to apply at a call center if ever they accept undergradates. I'm actually a second year college student but didn't finish my second semester due to financial problems, would it qualify me for a call center job if I'm a second year college student but finished only 1 semester? thanks

actually, qualifications may vary, but it's more on showing your attitude and dedication towards the job. in addition, if you nail the exams, interviews and everything else, sometimes, you have to be at least a college student in order to join the workforce. if you are currently not enrolled, then you could actually apply for a position in the BPO industry just as long as you are qualified for the post. by all means, apply. after all, you will never find out if you don't try, even if you're an undergrad. usually, they'll give phone interviews, one-on-one interviews, or panel interviews, depending on client needs. usually there's an exam for english grammar, US culture and the whole shebang..they could give you exams on technical knowledge. if you happen to be qualified, you could be in! but if you plan to be a working student, some call centers could be skeptic as working students are statistically one of the main reasons for attrition. just make sure that you are able to handle the pressure and stress in the environment. there are some contact centers that are considerate in terms of adjusting to your preferred schedule (if studying), but bear in mind that you are there to work (and is actually paid to report to work at any time), and some clients could be slave drivers, and may get your hands tied because of the demands entailed. but don't fret. i am not discouraging you, but that's how this works. good luck with your endeavor and hopefully, be able to finish college :D

The best schools in Korea have international exchange programs. The most famous is at Yonseh University. They not only have a good International program, but they also have one of the best Korean language for foreigner program in the country. Seoul University, Ewha's Women's University, and Korea University are also good. Check out their websites for more details.

If you want to come here as an exchange student, you should enter a college or university in the Philippines for the first place. Then go to the school's international office and ask if your school has any sister schools in Korea or any exchange programs with Korean universities. As the other answerer already mentioned, Yonsei University has the best exchange programs in Korea. http://www.yonsei.ac.kr/eng/ http://oia.yonsei.ac.kr/ Korea University http://www.korea.edu/ Sogang University http://goabroad.sogang.ac.kr/ My school - Sogang University has one of the finest Korean language learning programs and its sister schools in the Philippines are below: Philippines Ateneo de Manila University(2006) Saint Paul University Philippines - Tuguegarao City(2006) Saint Paul University of Manila(2006) Saint Paul University of Dumaguete(2006) Saint Paul University of Quezon City(2006) Saint Paul University of Iloilo(2006) Saint Paul University of Surigao(2006) University of Santo Tomas(2006) Hope these help ^^
