Is it worth it to do an exchange year in the Philippines?
Is it worth it to spend one whole year in Philippines as an exchange student? or cultural exchange student? I see some foreigners who go home after a month or two.. Maybe they didn't like it here..>.<

Why not. As long as you are an exchange student in the top universities (De La Salle and Ateneo come to mind) and you have decent quarters near school. Also helps to befriend nice people, who can show you around.

Depends on what you want to learn. If you want to study poorness then you came to the right place but if you want richness, then industrialized countries is your target.

It is, you see education here is really serious and has a goal. someone i know who got a lot of A's in her card went to america and the principal was surprised she got a lot of 90's, coz in her new foreign school, 85 is considered high. no offense to anyone, just pure truth. education here in the phil. will get you somewhere in life.
